I'm new to scanning and have already found the dispatch channel. I can hear the dispatch but can't find the incident channels. If anyone has them, please send them. Thanks!

Welcome. Can you provide details on what dispatch channel you found?

Berkeley County Fire and EMS use the Palmetto 800 digital trunked radio system. If you found the dispatch channel there, then you probably also found the Incident channels.

Palmetto 800 Trunking System, Various, South Carolina Scroll down to the Berkeley County talkgroup group.
Thank you. I found the Berkeley County Fire and EMS dispatch on 158.7525. From what I know about my scanner, it is not a digital one and can only pickup analog. So if the incident channels are digital, I will just have to wait until I get another one.

Yeah, that's probably correct. Good to know that Berkeley County is still dispatching on VHF. This is most likely a patch from their dispatch talkgroup on the Palmetto 800 system to support volunteers and/or analog pagers that are still being used by the fire department. But the response and operations radio traffic are likely only carried on the trunked radio system.

a bigger picture of radio freqs.
this one is older, probably 2005, and is from police call.
it was a book that came out yearly and had (i think) 9 books to cover the US.

I have a rookie question .. what does it mean when a frequency isn’t 6 digits for EX the 3rd and 5th up from bottom. What’s that mean ?

dumb is when you think you know the answer, and you are wrong.
we all ask questions to learn, no matter what the question is.
everybody is new at something.
and you do not have to hit the trailing zeros to put the frequency in the radio.
so just hit 451.1 and hit enter.
