A lot of leases actually allow for antenna mounts.

Fender mount would be my suggestion. Especially if a new F150 or Dodge as they have bolt on options.

I'm assuming 2014-present body (though this also applies to the 07.5-13 body like mine)

The regular $5 L bracket will work. I prefer black to stainless. I'm not a chrome guy (you wouldn't know that looking at my truck as it was a low mileage trade that I bought as soon as it came in). Requires 3 small (under the body) sheet metal screws to be installed.

I've done a lot of permanent mount NMO's on leased trucks. Dealers do not care at turn it, the lease turn in's usually go to auction anyway.

But....
L-bracket is probably your best choice. Magmount's suck, but they'll work.

Personally, I'd use one of these:

I use a mag mount and stick my Larsen 2/70 dual band antenna right in the middle of the roof of my F-150.

The only bad thing is that you have to run the coax out the passenger door above the window. I don't carry many passengers in my truck so it's not that much of a bother.

If you do have a lot of passengers getting out and in, it might be a pain having to worry about the coax tangling or kinking every time the passenger door opens and closes.

As others say, an NMO trunk/fender mount clip and mounted on one side of the hood would work, but you'll lose the even 360 degree ground plane effect you get when you're in the middle of the roof.

I wouldn't use the lip mount clamps...they are known for damaging paint. Especially the ones use often for odd angles (hoods, lift gates, suicide doors on extended cab pickups).

Mag mounts if left there long enough damage paint and fade differently if the vehicle is left out in the sun for a multitude of reasons. Also the there is water intrusion where the coax goes through the weather stripping. It's safe to say your F150 is a 2013 or older if you are using a mag mount though.
