I'm normally not up that late but on the way home from my in laws I stopped and got a 12 oz Red Bull, should of got the 8 oz, needless to say I was laying in bed for a while wide awake when this started.
A Calhoun officer stopped the truck on Hwy 11 south, the officer told the suspect to get out of the truck and after the a few words were exchanged with some one else in the truck he started it back up and proceeded south. The Calhoun officer followed attempting the stop the truck. Then his blue lights went out, he continued with siren and spot light on the truck. Bradley County SO and Charleston PD joined the chase near the Cleveland city limits. The truck turned onto Paul Huff parkway and on towards I-75 with speeds of 50 in a 45 zone.
He then took I-75 north. Several more BCSO deputies and a couple DTF agents joined the chase some time around here. A BCSO supervisor asked the lead BCSO deputy if the truck was driving erratic or veering in and out of lanes, the deputy came back and said that he was going about 80 and was switching lanes but not carelessly and was even using his blinkers. At the 39 mile marker DTF agents deployed a set of spike strips, taking out the left front tire. The truck slowed down to around 65. McMinn County deputies deployed another set of spike strips at the 42 exit, but they missed. McCSO joined the pursuit. Spike strips were again used by Sweetwater PD taking out the other front tire and a "few" of the rear ones, Monroe County SO and SPD joins the pursuit. At some point he lost the left front wheel. Around the Loudon-McMinn County line the deputies became worried of the truck catching on fire from the sparks, speeds now down to 45 and the is throwing debris all over the interstate. A THP trooper set another set of spike strips missing the truck but taking out two tires on a BCSO deputies car. The truck takes the Philadelphia exit and the driver bails. He is tracked by a LCSO, I believe, K9 with no luck. According to the news today the subject is from Kingston, stole the truck from Florida and had been holding his girlfriend, the female in the truck, against her will for a week.
In addition to 123s list add Charleston PD, Sweetwater PD and 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force. I also could hear all of the Monroe and Bradley county units from Athens, but not Loudon County SO.
