Hello,

I am looking for some 2-tone paging tones for Blair County EMS. I have all the fire tones, but am in need of these tones for paging capabilities. Blair County 911 does not have on file the EMS tone but have Fire tones. COMPROS (Local Radio dealer) will not provide them due to people in the past neglecting them. Can anyone give me a lead on this?

Thank You,
Cody

You might be able to contact one of the dealers that sell Unication pagers. I know that Ray's Pager Sales has programmed the Unication pagers they sell to fire companies I do believe that Blair County was one of them. So you might be able to get them to give the EMS tones to you. The only other thing is if you have access to a Uniden scanner you could turn the tone out feature on and let it find them that way but that would be a long process. As for COMPROS I wouldn't count on their help. My county had COMPROS do the new radio system and it never worked correctly.

Unfortunately I have tried Ray from rays pager sales. He does not have them either. I think I am going to record the tones and try to decipher them through a tone software. Thank you for the response.

Probably what you will have to do and make a list yourself.

Compros is not being neglected. Its called they want to make money. Why would they give you information that they can charge per hour labor to program.

The county "should" have the information somewhere. How in the hell would they have programmed their consoles to page the tones etc.
Sounds like either sloppy record keeping or "they didn't feel you were important enough to warrant looking for"

Are you programming for an agency in question?

I agree with Compros and making money. They are not about helping anymore. You would think the county 911 center would have the information. They were able to provide me the fire department 2 tones, but not EMS. They are not sure where the EMS tones are and stated that Compros has them...

The agency I am attempting to program is AMED out of Altoona. Tyrone, Bellwood, Altoona, Lakemont and Roaring springs stations.
