BMT? NYSP acronym and meaning

When Monitoring nearly any Troop ESPECIALLY the thruway; I would often hear something like “715 New York BMT 26.7 north bound xyz registration….” What’s the meaning of BMT?

it is not "BMT". It is V&T, as in vehicle and traffic, aka traffic stop

Thanks! Haha… I hear just traffic stop also mainly… and guess the old timers say V&T

They use V&T because most traffic stops involve violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL)
