BPD, All FD/EMS and FOR PD have switched to the 700 system. KCSO should be switching over in January. They still page Fire/EMS on VHF because there are no 700 pagers. I still here BPD on the LCRA 900 system but not all the time. What I do here has lots of static. I don't know what happened to the 900 system but it is not clear like it used to be.

I am still picking up the BPD & KCSO on 900 system but no longer pick up the fire depts. or EMS on 900.

Anyone using a P25 scanner yet and picking up any Kendall County traffic yet?

Any idea when BPD & KCSO are switching to 700 system, will need to purchase a p25!!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/6.0))

I can hear them sometimes on the Live Oak site. I can't hear the Boerne site from my location. The switch will happen after the new year. Do they still use any of these frequencies listed on this page?

The talkgroups on the 900 MHz system bight be used for interop, or for units that don't have a p25 radio. One day the 900 MHz sites will be switching to opensky.

Thanks

Boerne Dispatch is transmitting off of a P25 console with a P25 Radio ID as well are a few random units in the field have digital radios. Everything is patched to the 900mhz sites until all units make the switch from PD, Sheriff and FD/EMS. On the P25 sites the units that don't have digital radios yet transmit a Radio ID of 0

Are the new P25 scanners that are available able to pick up Boerne on the new system? Does anyone have a list of the new frequencies & ID's for Boerne/Kendall County

Yes they can pick them up and there are only a few Talkgroups on the P25 sites right now that are patched to the 900 system. Check the database under the LCRA P25 system.

Boerne/Kendall County EMS/Fire & their Primary channel for BPD& KCSO is operating on P25 system on site 14. Just got a new Uniden BCD996XT. Trying to learn it. I think that there may be some new frequencies that have been added to site 14 that is not listed here because I think I am missing some traffic. I am not sure how to do a search on this new scanner to try and find new frequencies. If anyone has any new frequencies or knows how to program the BCD996XT to search for new frequencies let me know, the manual is very difficult to understand.

Which site are you on? There is no 14 in the database Site 20 is in the Boerne/Kendall area but not sure where as well as 18 near Lukenbach. There may be one more since a lot of these tower sites are located in the same location as the 900 MHz one.

Also all the Talkgroups in the database under Kendall County are pretty much verified

The CC for site 120 should be 770.18125. I can't hear it from my location. Pro96com is showing it in my log for the Live Oak site. I would program in the old 900 MHz towers. They might have not fully switched over to the p25 system. I see the same thing with New Braunfels.
