Bogus High Listeners Data

I had this happen last night. My feed which has a couple dozen listeners on a slow night all of a sudden rocketed up to over 300 with nothing happening. It dropped back down within a few minutes. On my dashboard it showed 182 iPhone (native) clients with the rest in single digits.

I experienced much the same the other night (2/6/19) with one of my feeds. Normally if there is a 'big' incident I may see 70+ listeners, but this time the count spiked over 800 with the vast majority being from "iPhone (Native)" on the stats page.

I to experienced this with my feed.. My feed normally has 2 to 10 listeners, the max I ever experienced was during a barricaded subject many months ago which had around 130 listener.

On the day in question with my feed, nothing was going on and I showed 496 listeners. Very strange for a small county feed in northern Idaho.

It's a misbehaving mobile app client that is causing that problem. I'm looking into fixes for the issue.
