"Boot Ver: F1.01" message on Radio Shack 20-164

Hello All

I've just got a second hand 20-164 model with triple trunking. After turning it on the first line shown on the screen says the quoted message and nothing else happens... the text remains there all the time... see attached image.

Is any step missing before using/configuring it?

You probably lost the CPU firmware. I believe the latest version was 1.07. It is no longer on the Radio Shack site. You are going to have to find someone who has the firmware loader for the Pro-164.

It makes sense. I will try to find the firmware sofware (20-163_164_v107_BOOT101.EXE )

Dear All

Pro 164 needs and CPU upgrade, and it seems like the required files to do that are not longer available.

The required file is 20-163_164_v107_BOOT101.EXE

I hope someone with this firmware stored somewhere could help with this.
