• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Since most of the Rio Grande area is now P25 with new frequencies anyone heard any BP activity in the San Antonio area. The old 163.775 has been pretty silent for awhile now as well as other repeaters in the area. A few simplex ICE channels pop up from time to time but no BP in awhile. I have heard from a good source that BP and a few other federal agencies in the SA area have a talkgroup or two on the SA/BC system but still use their respective vhf and uhf channels also.

I'm back in San Antonio the week of the 14th and will begin my normal search for them. I haven't found any new fed freqs in about 4 months.
