• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

BPD dispatch on analog

I found out tonight by taking my scanner in to work that DEC 578 on Harrison County's TRS turns out to be Biloxi PD dispatch but the only time I'm hearing people on it turns out to be one-sided conversations. My guess is that some one has their radio set to transmit on both analog and the provoice talkgroup.

It's weird. I was scanning HC TRS in search ID mode sitting here in booking and we have a dispatch radio here, and I heard a unit talking to another unit and at the same time it was transmitting on my scanner on DEC 578. I sent an update to the RRDB but don't know much else.
