Bradford County Query

It is my understanding that Bradford only has a couple of pieces of equipment. I am hearing extensive dispatching on 154.25. Who is doing dispatching and who are they dispatching. Hearing references to VC fire 1 and 2.

Dispatching is done by the Bradford Co. SO. They're not that busy fire wise. Starke (Sta 1) has a combination department, the remainder are volunteer, not sure how many stations are active anymore. The SO was put in charge of Fire Rescue after the county Fire Chief and some volunteers resigned. They were supposed to hire some career staff and conduct a membership drive.

Hi Jeff. I hear the dispatcher but no vehicles. Any idea what those other channels are. The department must be a lot bigger than I was lead to believe. Many different unit numbers.

With the front coming thru you maybe getting ducting from some other County/City.

No, they were dispatching to local areas. Melrose FD said Bradford had two pieces of equipment. I was thinking maybe Clay dispatching. May be a patch as I’ve only heard one unit on this repeater. Nothing from other stations, units she was addressing.

I believe they operate on SLERS with Fire 1 (Primary) patched into 154.25. LE operates on SLERS encrypted.
