My new BCD396XT and BuTel ARC-XT-Pro software arrived Friday. I immediately printed the comprehensive operating manuals for both (76 pages for the software, 273 pages for the scanner) and placed them in binders. They certainly were intimidating! Having used both Butel and RR before, I decided to give it a go without cracking the manuals. In less than an hour I installed the software, downloaded 10 trunked systems and 8 conventional systems from RR, installed everything onto the scanner, and had it all up and running in Virtual Control mode. I still have a lot to learn, but that will come in time. Many thanks to BuTel and RR for simplifying what would have otherwise been a monumental task.
