I was wondering have there been any changes to Bridgeport FD Channel 5. The database currently has it as the following:

155.08500 RM 156.7 PL BFD5 FG5

While a submission I was looking at had it as the following:

Ch. 5 159.3225 PL 156.7

Can anybody confirm what the correct channel lineup is?

Thanks

Both correct.

It is a repeater 155.085 output 159.3225 input.... PL 156.7

So if you want to listen 155.085 - 156.7

FG3 is still wrong in the database apparently.

Bridgeport is also licensed for 154.415 (2 bases and 105 mobiles) but I dont see that in the database.

173.3125 is licensed for station alerting per the FCC ULS, but that is not listed in the RR Database.

No PD Ch 3 is listed.

PD Ch 4 shows as 2 different channels.

FCC ULS shows FD Tac 6 thru 9 as mobiles or portables only - no bases.

FCC ULS shows Public Works as 158.82 R with 155.67 input. Anyone have a PL?

FCC ULS also shows 39.40 R output.

"Bridgeport Port" shows 158.9925 for security. Anyone have a PL.

All other freqs in the Radio Reference Database do match the FCC ULS for Bridgeport.

Bridgeport is also licensed for 100 MOI (2 watts each) on 769.05625, 769.06875, etc - they might be mutual aid channels.

154.415 is not used as its used alot on long island and is to noisy.
the 173 channel is not used
Bridgeport PD 3 is Detectives 24/7 encryption
CH 4 has been 153.9725 for 4 years at least 24/7 encryption
PD 5 is narcotics 24/7 encryption
FD tac 6-9 dont have bases
Public works is DPL 244
39.4 is the old PD about 15 years ago
Port 158.9925 is NAC 250 but is used like 10 times a year, the port athority boats use the PD channels 95% of the time
700mhz channels are SWAT encrypted

Many people try to update the Database but if you provide good info and they update it someone provides crap 3 months later and they change it, so its no use.

If someone wants to create a database submission on how to properly list Bridgeport in its entirety (so I can just zap and reimage the entire listing) that would be great.

Do a submission or PM me a proper list in the following order:

Police
Fire
EMS
DPW
City Services
...all others

I'll make the changes.

As a reminder, even though the FCC database is a good starting point, database submissions are not accepted based on FCC data alone

Case in point is what APX mentions... you might be licensed for it but may never use it due to local factors. We have had many submissions in the past based on FCC data but was never used or used as licensed thus mucking up the DB.

APX7500X2 - the only thing I can suggest is to check the Database once a month to make sure that no bad info has creeped in. I know its a pain, but I dont know what else to suggest.

I dont see any licenses for 153.9725 in Connecticut in the FCC ULS. And I dont see any 153.9725 licenses for any Bridgeport in the USA.

The major difference that I see between the RR DB and the FCC info are -

1. FCC shows 159.3225 as a FD mobile freq - RR DB shows 159.3225 as a repeater output

2. FCC shows 155.085 as having FB2 and MO3 - RR DB does not mention that MO3

3. FCC shows 156.00 as a PD mobile channel - RR DB shows it as FG 8

4. FCC shows 154.8225 R as FD channel - RR DB shows as PD 4

(I recognize that the FCC is not always explicit about FD versus PD usage of a freq)

1- FG 5 input to the repeater, it was used as fireground 3 for a very short time years ago and people still think it is, thats why the mistakes, people send it what they think insted of confirming what it is.

2- Why would they? Its already in as FG5 output so all set

3&4 The Bridgeport FD & PD systems are all the same, they share. When radios systems are built sometimes you have to shift a few channels arround to get the inputs and outputs you need to run 8 Channels at the same sites with out interfering with each other.

I and a few other people have listed the correct lineups for bridgeport many times. It has been submitted many times, corrected many times.

You can lead a horse to water.............................

I believe this is what you are looking for.

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KYY907 - BRIDGEPORT, CITY OF

The FCC is showing 153.9275 for Bridgeport FD.

Probably just a database error. I am not close enough to Bridgeport to confirm though.

Dave

Just a type O 153.9275 is bridgeport Ch4 digital encrypted 24/7 simplex.

Most of bridgeport PDs important stuff is done on CH-6 special events.
2 years ago it was digital clear, but because of the media having access to Ch-1 they go to 6 for important stuff now and they encrypted it 24/7. Its too bad because they run the Vibes 5 day concert on Ch-6 and it was fun to listen to the PD try to deal with 20,000 druggies running arround lol
