Broken Power supply terminal?

I just recieved a used power supply in the mail and it appears the negative terminal was snapped in half. Could I just solder the power cord to the terminal and just operate like that? Or are there other steps I need to take? 73 DE KE8CPW

Sure you could.
But, it shouldn't be expensive or hard to just replace the terminal. What kind is it?
