BROOKLINE - One person died and two were injured in a house fire early Sunday morning in the Windham County town of Brookline, Vermont State Police said.
Local fire departments responded at about 2 a.m. to the house fire at 46 Papoose Lane.
This victim was tentatively identified as Elizabeth Cutts, 32. An autopsy is pending at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to assist in positive identification. According to state police arson investigators, the cause of the fire is undetermined but not deemed suspicious.
I knew this family personally. Bruce Cutts Father: Was a member of the Townshend Fire Department. Sally Cutts Mother: Was involved with the local church and youth club, where both were flown by life-flight to Mass. Boston Area Burn Center.

Elizabeth Cutts was a wonderful person and a blessing to be her friend.
