Hello. Is there anyone who has an updated list of BSO and fire rescue talk groups? I am most interested in the BSO dispatch and operations talk groups with specifics on the districts covered for each talk group, and the towns/areas in each district. The radioreference listing has some holes in it which I can't figure out. For example, Dispatch 1 and Dispatch 2 are listed without corresponding districts. There also seems to be some discrepancies in the district numeric list they provide when comparing with other sites. The map provided at the BSO web site has no district numbers on it.
If the radioreference list is in fact correct, what are dispatch 1 and 2 and what areas do they cover?
I do understand that BSO handles dispatch for municipal police departments in the county in addition to the areas covered by BSO.
I am trying to understand what talk groups cover what towns/areas of Broward County and it is quite confusing. What I am really looking for in BSO is:
1) dispatch talk groups
2) districts covered on those talk-groups (BSO and municipal)
3) towns/areas covered by a given district
With regard to Fire Rescue I have 3 questions. I undertand there are 4 dispatch areas (North, East, West and South).
1) Are all runs (fire duty and EMS) disptached over the air?
2) Are all EMS runs dispatched over the air on the same fire dispatch talkgroups?
3) When was the Broward county EMS (and those cool squads they had about 20 years ago) disbanded or handed over to Fire Rescue?
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to a trip to Broward--great scanning. It's been two years since I've been down there and it's hard to figure these things out when things have changed a lot and you can't listen yet. I'd like to be programmed correctly on arrival!
