Has Rutland County sheriffs department switched to digital. 460.450. I get the noise when the conversation is in digital and cant decode the the transmittion

Are you using a scanner capable of receiving digital? If not, well then that’s why you are getting undecoded digital noise.

If you get the noise, but don't hear the transmission, then they are encrypted. Unless you have your scanner set for analog.

If you set it for digital, search for the NAC.

I have received encrypted transmissions before and this is not encryption I do have it programmed as a single p25 and also analog.

Caledonia County has switched to P25 on their 460.450. There is infrequent analog use on the same frequency. Essex County (VT) has ceased using 460.450. I haven't located their new sheriff's frequency. Most of their communication is on VSP St Johnsbury's 460.300.

Can confirm Rutland County SD is not operating on a digital system. As of right now 460.4500 127.3
