What is Metro?

I have a list of what I believe are MilAir frequencies. If any of these frequencies has a more specific name than just MilAir please let me know.

121.1
128.25
132.5
128.375
118.5

Also, I'm not sure if I put everything into Win96 correctly for the Buckley Motorola Type II SmartZone system. I would really appreciate it if someone sent me a Win96 file with that system on it. My e-mail address is david_campbell@mindspring.com

Thanks,

LFRfreak

Metro is the freq that planes use when flying into BKF just to give a heads up or requesting info when flying over the metro area. A lot of times you hear planes asking for WX in other cities.

121.1???
128.25 DIA East Appch.
132.5 Denver Center
128.375 Denver Center
118.5 COS Appch.

I'll send you a Win96 file when I get home.

Thanks for the freq. Im always looking for more freq!!
Certainly. Now that we're on the subject, how do you monitor Buckley's Fed 400 system? Everytime I try, I get multiple control channels and really unusual radio behavior. I'm not familiar with how to set up the 400 system and what the custom tables mean.

I am in the process of developing a website (again, the last one was lost). I plan on posting my 96 and 396 files on it. My goal is to update them weekly with all of the information that I obtain. As soon as I have it up and running, I will post the link to the site.

Probably my or my computers fault, but it did download, BUT it was not in a readable format. I'm only about 75% computer smart, but I will try to attach it as I recieved it. I just got Win 95, and the same thing happens if I try to open a file from the document file. I have to open Win 95, then open the file there.

Hey Gator. Welcome to scanning and the RR Colorado Forum. When scanning military air frequencies, they will almost always have one VHF channel and one UHF channel that are simulcasted most of the time. Usually these pairs are never broken. But in extreme circumstances, they may only use UHF. When I listed something like 121.600 - 275.800 this is the VHF/UHF pair that is used by that end user. What I've found monitoring Buckley is usually the planes are broadcasting in UHF, while the base station is broadcasting in VHF/UHF simulcast. Have fun!
