Attention NOAA Weather Radio Listeners... All NOAA Weather Radio transmitters originating at the NWS in Buffalo, NY will be off the air for a critical software upgrade from 8AM Monday April 21st until no later than 5PM Thursday April 24th.

Attention NOAA Weather Radio Listeners... All NOAA Weather Radio transmitters originating at the NWS in Buffalo, NY will be off the air for a critical software upgrade from 8AM Monday April 21st until no later than 5PM Thursday April 24th.

The good thing is that the Syracuse transmitter reaches decently in the finger lakes and some parts of Rochester and Monroe county area, so there is SOME supplemental coverage but not "officially".

These outages will be happening for each NWS office in the near future. There is a group interested in chasing NOAA Weather Radio DX taking advantage of the outages.
