They haven't gone anywhere. They're still on their 460 MHz frequencies. Still analog- for now.

You say for now, any plans for them to switch?

If New York State is successful with their Ma/Com Open Sky system, then Buffalo, including all of Erie County may go silent in about a year, if they get it all up and running in their planned time frame.

Man am I ever glad we don't have any of that crap up here. Hopefully they will see MA/COM's success and set backs in other States and decide against it. Until then I will happily monitor the dozens of gun and shots fired calls nightly on Buffalo PD.
