BUTEL ARC246 Ordering Questions

1 .... Do any of Butel's USA Dealer's accept Money Orders fothe CD? Butel site only lists PayPal & Credit Card?

2 .... Will the cable that came with the 246T work with ARC246 Software?

3 ... Does it accept the 246T channels that're already in it, or do I have to reprogram it after installing ARC246?

4 .... Is the Butel software compatible with this setup? Windows 98SE (Vers.: 4.10.2222A); 256Mb RAM; DirectX 6.1a; 32 Mb. Video Card (GeForce Mx100/200); 32 Mb. Sound Card; Internet Explorer 5.50?

I just E-mailed Scanner Master 2 days ago and asked the same as your first question:

1 .... Scanner master will accept your Check or money order.
( I sent my Postal Money Order to them yesterday afternoon for ARC396)

2 .... Will the cable that came with the 246T work with ARC246 Software?

YES

3 ... Does it accept the 246T channels that are already in it, or do I have to reprogram it after installing ARC246?

Yes. Just read the radio before you make your changes. Or you can add new systems without affecting what is already in your unit

I bought the version that came on CD in May. It says it will work on Windows 98 / ME / XP / 2000.

It doesn't say how much RAM in minimum. I'm running XP so I don't know for sure that it will work on 98 but it should.

I like ARC246 enough to order ARC396 for my BCD396T.

Went to Scanner Master site a few minutes ago to check on price/shipping for CD, & it appears that the ARC246 Software either isn't in stock at the moment---or I was looking in wrong place?
Searched site under ARC246 and ARC-246 and only got "Sorry, but search returned no results." Looked for it under "Butel" also.

I'm still waiting for my ARC396 CD. For some reason Butel won't give you the registration keys for both the download and CD.
