Anyone know why Caledon has changed from "Delta" to "Sierra"?
They did this about 2-3 months ago.

They were originally Delta
Change to Sierra (for a week a few mths ago)
Moved back to Delta
Now Sierra again for the last 2 weeks or so.

Anyone know why?

Definitely low considering Nighthawk is a tow driver. One man's lack of a life is another man's profession...

I was unaware of that, if its his job he should definitly know these things lol. I retract my joy behind the comment since it wasnt really in good humor now that i know the whole story, lol

It was Not a harsh shot at him, i was speaking of myself.. Plus a bit of humor? No one forced him into his profession, he chose it... Actually i thought about doing that as well (Towing) seeing i do enjoy scanning.. Why not make money at something enjoy doing?

Lighten up guys, stop taken life so seriously, your not going to come out of it alive anyways! :D

Hey, I hold no hard feelings. I thought it was a response. Everyone has an opinion.
But still,
Anyone know why? They still get dispatched from Orrilla, but are different Soft ID handle. HMMMMM
BTW - Towing is more then listening to a radio, and I chose my profession, and I love it.

And they are still sierra, I am sitting behind them right now.....

Interesting to note here... 1TAC05 is being used in Toronto for the OPP units that are at Caribana. It's multi-selected with the talkgroup for Caledon. I imagine it's because the Caledon channel is so dead, they figured they'd better give the dispatcher something to do :)

Actually, Caledon has been crazy since Friday. Caledon Dispatcher is doing Caledon and MTO as well as the usual 407 units. NOT CARRABANNA. If it is on TAC 5 it would be Whity. I am not positive, but I know Caledon Dispatch uses TAC 7 Patch usually. North of Hwy 9 uses TAC 6.

Don't qoute me but that is what I have noticed in the past.

Why would the Caledon dispatcher be doing 407 units? The 407 talkgroup is 1OPS38 which is Aurora. Why would TAC 7 and TAC 6 be used up there without a special event? That's what those talkgroups are for.

Trunk88 was reporting multiselects (not patches) between the Caledon talkgroup and 1TAC05. It wasn't showing any patches or anything with TAC 7 or TAC 6. I had heard a unit identify himself as being at Peter and Richmond looking to get a check on a male - that's right in the heart of the Entertainment District in Toronto.

I will gaurrentee that Caledon does 407 Units, as well as not Carabanna. I talked to Judy this afternoon, and she has nothing to do with the festival, and TAC 6 has been up since Friday. The ERT units from Caledon just returned this morning from a major investigation in New Tech.......

Sorry, I still don't buy the thing that they aren't on the Caribana stuff.

Caribana was on 1TAC05. Here's a log from TRUNK88:

3:43:31 1OPS40 Caledon MSEL (MSEL#=121F) includes 1TAC05 (TG#=9440)

I heard numerous references to downtown Toronto (addresses, etc...) as well as reference to Toronto Police, and "the parade" numerous times on 1TAC05, so it was definately Caribana.

I'm hearing 5-Lima units on the 1OPS38 Aurora talkgroup still. 5-Lima = 407 units. Infact, I heard a call earlier tonight, 407 at Neyegawa (sp?) for a PD, and it was on 1OPS38. Perhaps they've moved the 407 detatchment from Aurora to Caledon, but they're still on the Aurora talkgroup.

From the OPP's own telephone directory:

Hwy 407 Detachment

100 Bloomington Road
Aurora, Ontario L4G 7N5
