Went by the firehouse earlier today, we have our state OES engine in Kern County. Apparently they had some 50 of so lightning fires there. I also saw more CDF Schedule B caravans (a few strike teams). moving across to the east side of the valley.

Those lightning strike have been very active even up here, I am hearing lots of activity from Camino and Grass Valley to Porterville. Read somewhere over 15,000 strikes in California. http://yubanet.com/regional/15-536-Lightning-Strikes-Hit-California-on-Sept-10-11.php

Sorry too busy with 9/11 activities to get more data for everyone.... But from the visual indications outside it might not be as bad tonight, but I doubt it's be clear weather tomorrow.

Did you watch the SF Giants game last night?

They showed instant replays of the lighting hitting the Mt Diablo Area. It was awesome, 42" widescreen HD lighting replays...
