Went by the firehouse earlier today, we have our state OES engine in Kern County. Apparently they had some 50 of so lightning fires there. I also saw more CDF Schedule B caravans (a few strike teams). moving across to the east side of the valley.
Those lightning strike have been very active even up here, I am hearing lots of activity from Camino and Grass Valley to Porterville. Read somewhere over 15,000 strikes in California. http://yubanet.com/regional/15-536-Lightning-Strikes-Hit-California-on-Sept-10-11.php
Sorry too busy with 9/11 activities to get more data for everyone.... But from the visual indications outside it might not be as bad tonight, but I doubt it's be clear weather tomorrow.
