Hello

I have a Pro 93 Dual Trunking scanner. I lived in Aurora for 10 years and had many enjoyable years of scanning the Aurora PD. Once they went digital leaving my scanner silent I lost interest and it went in a box.

I moved to Northglenn last winter and doing some cleaning recently I ran across my scanner.

A internet search for the operation manual for my scanner found this great website for me as well.

My closest major cross streets are 104th and Colorado blvd.

I am guessing the first ones I want to get scanning would be the Northglenn Police and the Adams county Sheriff?

Are these trunked systems? I know my Pro 93 is pretty outdated, will I be able to hear what I want with this??

Can you provide the frequencies I need to program in?

I would really appreciate any time you guys can spare to help me get back into this great hobby.

Adams County Sheriff is Conventional UHF
Adams County, Colorado (CO) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

According to the DB Northglenn PD is on this system
Scanner Frequencies: State of Colorado DTRS Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State
So they are on a Trunked System and you wont be able to listen to them with the 93.

Aurora PD is on an EDACS System, it says it's mixed Analog/Digital.
You could try to program it into your 93, and see what you can hear.
Here is the link in the DB to their system.
Scanner Frequencies: Aurora, City of Trunking System, Aurora, Colorado
The type of Digital used in that system is not monitorable by any scanner.

Adams county SO is on the state digital system as well. You're scanner will not receive anything around you, you'll need a digital scanner.

Northglenn's in Texas?

Best you can do with the PRO-93 for Northglenn is monitor 460.550 for N. Metro Fire paging out calls. 453.275 is still in use by Northglenn public works.

There are other Fire agencies in Western Adams County that page out calls on UHF as well.

You will need a digital scanner to hear Public Safety communications. Radioshack PRO-106, PRO-197, GRE PSR-500, PSR-600, Uniden 396XT, 996T radios work for your area and run an average of $500.

Ironically Aurora PD dumped digital on their patrol groups some time back and all patrol ops have been monitorable for some time.
