so maybe you could help me, I set my whistler to scan from 459.5 to 469.5 and when I use the cls1110 repeatedly, the whistler do not intercept the communication, am I setting the search in a wrong way? thanks

The Motorola CLS1110 requires an FCC license if you are located in the USA. Your license will tell you which frequency you are authorized to use and what frequency your radio should be set to. Use that information to program your scanner to match.

Having the two radios too close together can overload the receiver in the scanner, and it may not lock on to anything.

Default from the factory, the radio is set to use frequency #2: 464.550MHz FM analog 12.5KHz narrow FM.

If your radio has been set up for another frequency, use the manual to find which frequency it is set to.

Press FUNC and then the scan button to bring up the sweeper, then make sure only 4 and 5 are selected. Hold the other radio about an arm's length away and press the PTT until the scanner locks on and press the PSE button on the scanner. You should then be able to store the frequency directly into your scan list.
