can the yaesu vx-5 set PT tones?

I can't seem to figure out how to set a PT tone on my Yaesu VX-5r.

Does it have this capability, and if so, how do I go about changing the PT tones in the first place?

If you mean PL (private line) tones, absolutely you can set both encode and decode tones per memory. I don't have mine any more, but you should be able to download a PDF manual from the Yaesu web site. GL.
