I have two laptops each with ProScan installed. I want to have one laptop set up as my scanner server and be able to access it on the other one from home or away. On the server, I have the scanner connected and running and can set up the remote server with Port 5001 and start it. On the client laptop, I can see it listed in the active servers but when I attempt to connect I get "Client stooped (Server not responding Code 1)" I have added port forwarding to my Xfinity router for 5001 TCP. I check using the Online Tool and it still does not register as being an open port. Any thoughts on what my next option to get this running is?

I would double and triple check the router port forwarding. Make sure the IP address is of the computer running the server.

Xfinity might not be allowing the inbound connection. Can you ping the server from the client?

Change the port # you are using?
I am running 2 instances of ProScan from a remote setup on Xfinity and it works fine. I am using a separate router behind the Xfinity all in one (Modem, Router, Phone, etc) but it passes through the Xfinity.

In your port fowarding, are you using the ip of the pc running ProScan RSOIP server (not scanner)? And when remote, you are using ip (and port) that is exposed externally? (not something like 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x)

In screen shot below, 192.168.7.20 is pc running ProScan RSOIP server:

Got it working after some tinkering. Now the issue is I can't get the Let's Encrypt to set up my noip domain cert since Xfinity blocks port 80.

Have you considered other HTML ports like 8080? Also Wireshark diagnostics will be helpful.
