Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering if the public safety departments in Canton Twp (Wayne Co) are still using their conventional frequencies as listed on the Wayne Co page. If they have moved communications to another system I'll delete them from my scan lists. I know their PD has a TG on the Western Wayne System, but I wasn't sure if all their coms took place on this TG or not.

I have a PSR 600 installed in my vehicle and as I was driving down the 696 corridor I had my Wayne County scan list open. At that time I received major static on the Canton Police Department tactical frequencies. I just noticed on the database that the license for these frequencies is expired. Would be safe to delete these frequencies from my scanner?

Thanks.

If their license is expired then legally they're not allowed to use those frequencies any more. So yes, it's probably safe to delete them from your scanner.

Canton Twp is still active on VHF. I am not sure on those tac frequencies though as I don't monitor those often. In the past area departments especially Romulus like to use 156.150 for radar details.

A lot of times the static on the GRE's can be cleaned up by using the ATT. I have to use it on all my VHF stuff or I get the same.

I've never heard Canton Twp on the WWTRS even though there is a listed TG for them.

I wouldn't delete any frequency from a radio just because the license is expired. Wouldn't be the first department to operate on a expired license.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I think I'll try the ATT first to keep the freqs around, just in case. However, if that doesn't do the trick I will probably delete the ones with expired licenses.

Thanks again.
