CASTLE ROCK – A hydrochloric acid leak at a business forced an evacuation Wednesday morning to allow crews to clean up.
Castle Rock Police say the leak occurred at Pure Water Solutions, located at 520 Topeka Way at about 8 a.m.
Police say the business owner suspects about 200 gallons of hydrochloric acid spilled inside the business.
As a precaution, authorities evacuated a 300-foot radius surrounding the building.
At least five districts, including three fire departments, have responded to the situation.
Authorities say the spill is not a threat to anyone and no one was injured.
They say it may take all day to clean up the spill.
This sounds pretty large. I'm suprised this didn't get paged out.
