• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Some cats chew on cables, too. For some reason, BC never was interested in cables of any kind, but he did get an "age onset" desire to chew plastic bags!

Here he is guarding the rigs, but asleep while on duty.

My current cat likes to chew plastic bags. I try not to leave any where she can get at them, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

I had a male cat until recently that liked to chew on wires. He chewed all the way through some low-voltage DC cables. I'm amazed he didn't at least get burned. One of several reasons I had to get rid of him.

Look at the lower-right corner of 31 - Lucy. That's one funny looking cat. I think she's sitting on an Easter egg.
That funny looking cat was the furry companion of none other than Harry Helms, W5HLH(SK), noted SWL author and columnist. I have a couple of his books.

This is, to my knowledge, the only non-cat in the bunch, but I'm sure that Fred Osterman, the Prez of Universal, gave Harry a dispensation!
