Is it back to oldies or still the iPod-like format that Jack had?

I was listening to 101.1 this afternoon at approximately noon and it was still Jack FM. When is/did the broadcast change?

Yikes, now I know I'm old. Just tuned in and they were playing Prince's "Little Red Corvette." If Prince is considered oldies, I must be ancient

There's nothing more depressing than hearing all of your favorite songs on CBS-FM for the first time. For me that was in the early 90s.

The local NYC TV stations ran the story and the WCBS-FM people in charge DID say they would add some more "contemporary" music ..not just the oldies.

anyone see my Geritol ??

I know my parents will be happy. Are they playing any music from the '90s or around now, at all?

Its funny b/c on the same day it changed (obviously before it went back to CBS FM) I was just thinking to myself that JACK FM must be doing pretty well since it was still on. I guess not...lol I was a fan of JACK too!

I know I'm going to hate myself in the morning for saying this, but here goes.

Well, I guess you don't know Jack! ;)

To Hear 50's Music

The only station I"m aware of in this area that plays music as far back as the 50's is Oldies 1250AM WKCR located in Morristown, NJ.

Also, correction: Oldies 101.1 never disappeared. It actually used to be on HD radio Ch. 2. Now, Jack FM is heard on 101.1 HD ch. 2 and the oldies station is back on Ch.1 (which is what all non HD radios pick up).

Speaking of HD radio, that country station is STILL on 103.5FM, however it's on HD ch. 2 and you need an HD radio to pick them up. In fact, I'm listening to them right now.

WMTR is the callsign for 1250 AM, which is located in Cedar Knolls, NJ. (Morris County) it's
a Morristown mailing address, that's why they say WMTR 1250 Morristown.
