Centre County P25 Two-Tone Paging

Unication pagers can do P25 two-tone paging. Would this work on Centre County's P25 system as it's currently set up? Tones are played on both the 800 Mhz and UHF dispatch channels. They do sound different though.

As long as the tones on the trunking side are clean it should work fine. I'm using a G5 on our system and it alerts on the P25 side just fine as well as on the conventional (analog) paging side.

Can't hurt to program your pager just to find out.

That sounds promising. I appreciate your help. I don't currently have a Unication pager to test it out. I was debating between the G3 and G5, but wanted to figure this out before going with the G5.

Go for the G5; it's a bit more expensive but you won't regret it.

Good luck. The P25 tones aren't very clear and aren't as crisp as the UHF paging tones.
