There was an interesting story on CTV Edmonton today about the Eskimos radio comms. Much like we have heard in the states CFL quarterbacks are now using helmet radios to recieve information from coaches and other sources.
They must be controlled by the CFL as they can only be used at certain times during the game. This should also include the Lions, Stampeders, Roughriders and Blue Bombers.
Perhaps it will be Motorola Turbo as they are concerned about other teams knowing their hand signals and monitoring their communications. They did show a Motorola hand held radio.
I have an old frequency logged for the Eskimos on 453.7375 but do not see it licensed on TAFL now. Maybe they are licenced under the CFL Canada Wide.
AFAIK NHL teams are still on analog but it's been a while since I listened in.
