CFXR 6070 kHz

I came across this station out of Ontario, Canada just now here in SW Florida. According to Short-Wave.Info its nondirectional at 1 KW. I've heard it here before but tonight it was coming in pretty well. Is it really only 1 KW or did they up the power recently? My setup is simply an old loopstick hooked up to a DR22C-6 in my third story condo.

CFRX is the International Shortwave rebroadcaster of CFRB 1010 KHz, a MW radio station in Toronto. Both have been around since long before I was born in 1947.

Probably improvement in SW conditions. I heard Radio Amazonia on 11780 khz this evening for the first time in months. I used to hear them on a daily / nightly basis. I think the Toronto transmitter on 6070 is maintained by hams, if memory serves.

We can only hope. The sunspot number made it up to 24 for a day or two. Then fell to 12 and we lost another 1 yesterday. Still beats the 35+ days with zero sunspots.
