Received a submission last night that requires some further investigation for clarity. Any input from locals would be appreciated.

151.0325 (100 NAC) - Law Enforcement heard

This frequency is currently listed in FMN mode as "Public Safety" under the countywide listing.

154.1375 (150 NAC) - Channel is referred to as "Comm Center"

This frequency is currently listed in FMN mode as Elmira Heights/Horseheads Police.

Note that both of these frequencies are licensed to the county under WQEZ284, which has no P25 emissions listed.

I started hearing police activity on 154.1375 P25 a few years ago, roughly the same time Chemung County Sheriff went P25. I heard some Elmira area references and saw it listed in the database as Elmira Heights PD, and figured it was.

Those two frequencies were cleared up.

Would like to get some ears on the following frequencies, as they both seem suspect:

155.180 is listed as Sheriff Ch. 11, however that is not a valid frequency. It might be either 155.175 or 155.1825, or it might not be a valid listing at all, since none of those frequencies are licensed in the county.

154.145 is listed as Chemung County PD, however there is no license for that frequency. This seems to be a dubious listing and should probably be removed.

I wonder if its possible whom ever submitted 154.145 was actually hearing 154.1375. only a 7.5 kHz spacing separation. perhaps they were very close to a tower when they heard it. ??

155.180 is odd. IMHO, it should just be removed.

Given the matching NAC of 150, that's probably the case.

Frankly, the submission that both frequencies came from is 3 years old at this point, and didn't make much sense even back then.

Both frequencies removed.
