Well I've parked my trusty SDR/DSD+ on frequency and have been monitoring from the other side of the Schuylkill just outside the Philly limit for about an hour now, no traffic. If they're utilizing all 100 watts they're authorized for then surely I'd have some sort of a pick up from here so they could be utilizing a lower power output, perhaps they nixed radio usage in favor of cell phones or other means of non-LMR communication or have relocated elsewhere? I've found the best times to verify DPW frequency usage are during major storm events, snowstorms, etc
I've now noticed that Cherry Hill is licensed for 851.950 on two different callsigns, both still valid: The listed
WRCA500 & also
WPRI907 which was their former township-run trunked system before LE & Fire migrated to
Camden County Public Safety a number of years ago. Might be worth checking the other frequencies on the WPRI... license for activity.
