I am looking for someone in the MCAS Cherry Point area that has current trunk monitoring capability that can monitor some 380-400 MHz LMR freqs. I believe there is a changeover occurring at the various USMC East Coast Enterprise bases to a new system,. That would make the current 400 MHz system used at Cherry Point which has not been reported on since 2011 obsolete. Sorry didn't know this two weeks ago. Takes me a while to put some of this stuff together. Hopefully, if I can get a monitor to verify what I have (I hate putting something here in public that is speculative), it will be on the RRDB very soon. This shouldn't take long to verify my source.

Cherry Point is using a new system that is encrypted. The old 406 system is no longer in use and should be deprecated.

From looking at the attached memo and the Quantico VA site information in the database, I believe this is the system being used in North Carolina as well. Has anyone found the P25 Phase 2 CC for Cherry Point?

I was just up in the Camp Lejeune/MCAS NewRiver and MCAS Cherry Point areas and was able to identify some USMC TRS sites for both bases. As mentioned above all of the talkgroup activity was encrypted. (Sorry, I forgot to notate control channels, so I don't remember which frequencies were the control channels. I submitted this to the DB a couple of days ago and it's showing there now.

Yes, they are part of the USMC TRS, Sys ID 00A, mentioned above.

granted you likely meant specifically marine bases, but from monitoring braggs decorum, they seem to think no one can hear 'em, and theoretically they are more "restrained" in their use of colloquialisms than the marines would be. tisk tisk tisk
