Cheshire "BOE"....I'm stumped!

So I'm usually pretty good at discerning alpha tags but I can't seem to figure this one out.

Cheshire has radios with aliases containing "BOE" (BOE-Bxx as well as one labeled BOE-TRNOF CS)

Any ideas on what the BOE stands for? The only thing I could come up with was Board of Education, although I don't see why they'd be arming themselves with a fleet of radios...

Board Of Education.

Typically radios used by the whole school system for cross campus maintenance and other activities will be tagged to BOE.
Also I've seen where there are BOE admin ops that travel from schools to schools.

It's more common than you think.

obv not exactly this, but

is the concept. office has a desk mic or emergency button and alerts psap. the head seen in this video O2 head with orange knob was actually designed for ohio marcs as every school in the state got one of these.

they even take them home and communicate with them, usually real time weather stuff.
