I am not a licensed commercial radio technician. Can anybody tell me why Harris audio is variable as compared to P25 Motorola, like New Castle Delaware’s audio.

I agree it may be best answered on the Harris forum but, at the end of the day, the system engineers are the ones making those configuration decisions.

If you're referring to some users being louder than others - it's a combination of folks holding the mic too close and also the lack of AGC on Harris systems. On Motorola systems AGC is employed to keep volumes constant whereas Harris systems do not employ this. I've noticed this quite a bit myself monitoring with a Unication and an APX.
