I would think that the change might be to 151.055, PL 173.8.When County took over for New Vernon, they switched them from 154.31 to 151.055.

476.2875

460.0375 Fire Ground

151.055 Paging

I thought 476.2875 was Countywide Dispatch?

We'll since Chester was still in Morris Co. the last time I checked, and since I knew they we're migrating to the county for dispatch, I guessed 476.2875. Unfortunately I was wrong.

I guess Morris County is getting like Orange County, NY. One is labeled Paging and one is labeled Dispatch on two seperate frequencies.

This is the license granted to the Chester Volunteer Fire Company on 11/16/09.

Looks like they are going to be putting up an operations repeater on a UHF channel in the future.
ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WQLA828 - CHESTER VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY #1

Word on the street is (for the time being) they are going to be using the current PD repeater, 151.370, for an operations channel until the UHF infrastructure is in place. This will be freed up, since the PD will be on a MIRS talkgroup.

I am liking this set up, since I can hear the PD repeater from my house.

Well I doubt Chester Fire will use 151.37 for operations since it is licensed to Washington Twp and not Chester. Chester PD may still use that repeater for interop to Wash Twp.

I would think they will be paged out on 151.055, call in service on the TRS, and use one of the simplex channels for fireground.

When I refer to an operations channel I am referring to communications from IC to dispatch and also for vehicles responding to and leaving a scene to communicate to dispatch.

With that said,. I know they will NOT be using 151.37 since the County is not licensed as a control point for that frequency.

hmmm, CHester and Chester Twp are 06 & 07 on the list. But since they have Boonton as 42 instead of 02 I would guess 46 & 47?

Simple deduction.

Sounds like a reasonable guess to me...we shall see tomorrow! I will have to wait until the later part of the day though! :( So I guess CenCom is no longer dispatching for them at all anymore? Should I delete Chester PD/FAS/FD from my conventional frequencies?
