8,000 acre? is this the same fire?

LARIMER COUNTY - The sheriff's office says sparks flying from a welder's torch may be to blame for a grass fire which burned a small area near the Colorado-Wyoming border Tuesday afternoon.

The welder was doing work on a communications tower in the area. The fire, which broke out near Highway 223 and Winchester Road, was quickly contained. No damage or injuries were reported. A nearby elementary school was evacuated as a precaution.

Meanwhile, county and U.S. Forest Service crews were responding to a one-acre fire reported on Storm Mountain, near Drake Colorado. That's west of Loveland. A helitanker was on route.

Here is a report from Cheyenne channel 5. Report came to my office as 8,000 but not sure what the official size is now. Officials on the scene of a grass fire burning in south Cheyenne say it’s believed to be contained.

The fire was located west of the South Greeley highway and west of the Winchester subdivision.

Fire officials are building a trench around the fire as a precautionary measure and they say the fire was sparked by welders repairing a telephone tower off Terry Ranch Road.

Several fire response teams were on scene and the fire was burning for over two hours.

Students at Afflerbach Elementary were evacuated. Parents were urged not to go to the school to pick up their children. Instead, the students were being transported to Johnson Junior High where they were picked up.

Afflerbach students on the field trip to Denver will be transported back to Johnson Junior High at about 7:30 for parents to pick them up.

The new report is now 705 acres. Sometimes it's hard to tell when on the ground.

Remarks for Rawlins Dispatch Center office.Rock Springs had a small fire for 1 acre. Completed acres for Firehole RS is 6167. MedBow had 2 fires for .2 acres and completed 70 acres for their RX burn. Rawlins zone has a fire in the Lander area, county and BLM on scene & presently at 8 acres, had a small fire for southern zone .2 acres. Laramie county had a fire for 750 acres south of Cheyenne, Wy. Fossil Butte and Seedskadee, no report of any fires today.

154.28 TAC 1 (FERN) what the command at the fire was on.
154.16 TAC 2
154.22 TAC 3
154.25 TAC 4

You might be able to hear these from where you are, 911 is a repeater output. The TAC channels are all simplex here so I doubt they would make it to Loveland.

I'd love to give you some freqs. but I don't have to many for that area. Since their isn't much government land in Laramie County my dispatch center doesn't have to much info frequency wise. But I'll see what I can look up. And the info kd7gxu gave looks good, those are channels that I heard a large grass fire on a couple weeks ago.
