• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Just heard fire chief tell one of his guys to go to channel 3. I'm up very high in Clark and didn't hear any simplex comms like I can from far cities so I assume it's a different freq. Anyone know what that freq might be? Thanks.

This is just a guess, but maybe their Ch#1 is the main ch. Ch#2 is County Fire Mutual Aid and Ch#3 is their non-repeater channel like "car-to-car".
I'm thinking this as they use the mutual aid channel a lot. The county uses Clark a lot for mutual aid.
