Classifieds Scam

There is a Scam going on in the classifieds a member going by Terry1 Posted the following in one of my adds:

Hello,
Am Terry Bill by name i came across your ad on CL and i am interested.
I will like to know if it still available for sale, your final asking price and I will also like you to give me your full name and address so i can come for the pick up.
Please get back to me asap.

After emailing i looked at several adds and found same post in many of them. Today I get the following email.

Hello,
I am very glad to here from you and i am still very much interested, The price is okay by me, I have been very busy lately with the renovation of my new apartment and job, I really wish to be there to check but I am not chanced due to the circumstances, I will be making a deposit Payment which will be issued to you via bank certified cashier check to secure the purchase so i will need your full information i.e

Full Name.......................................................................
City..................................................................................
State.................................................................................
Zip Code..........................................................................
Cell Number.....................................................................



Hope to read from you soon,so please do withdraw the ad and to be rest assured on my side that i have bought it. I Await your response as soon as possible.

Im no detective but unless this guy plans as traveling the US just to buy our stiff sellers beware.

Typical CL scam. I started putting in my ADs that I would ONLY take COLD HARD CASH and if you don't have it, do not respond.

Scammers should be shot on sight, but then again I hate to waiste a good 7.62 x 39 on a piece of human trash as they are.
The one thing that gives these idiots away from the get go is their use of the English language. I am in no way a perfect user of the language, but they leave me and my redneck ways dumbfounded! lol (hope I made sense)

Just want to make sure non of the other users fell for it an got ripped off or something worse he was asking for to much info from the start.that is why its better to ship then do a face to face these days.

i got an answer like that on an ad awhile ago, you can tell right off the bat that it's a scam. I didn't even bother with it and got the thanks for your response the price is right i'll send you a check for more than the amount just return the rest - yeah ok I'm right on it-lol
