I've done quite a bit of searching in the past week and I can't find any frequencies or licenses for the upcoming Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland .I've searched for Horseshoe Casino, Rock Gaming, and Cleveland Ceasers, with google and the FCC wireless search and came up with nothing. I can't imagine the licenses not being granted by now since this thing's supposed to be open in 5 days (may 14). Maybe this stuff isn't sorted out yet after all but if someone finds something out, ya know what to do ;) I'm after specifically their security but anything will do. Even if its a custodian or something. Thanks!

The Toledo Casino is going to using a Mototrbo system. The lucas county database has the frequencies, but no TG listed. Possibly they will use the same system and frequencies.

I had heard that they were going with Sprint direct connect (PTT).

They were supposedly looking at a local trunked system, or putting in their own system, but I guess they decided to try the Sprint system instead. It will be interesting to see if they stay with that or eventually put in something else.

*Disclaimer* - I had heard this from an outside source, not direct from anyone at the Casino.

I will say that I am NOT familiar with the Sprint Direct PTT system, but if it operates the same as the older Nextell system that Sprint took over, I do not see it working out well. When the company I used to work for had Nextells, there was a delay between press the button and getting the 'roger beep' before you could talk or else you cut off part of the conversation, that would be bad when time is essential for handling an emergency. also controling and switching between talkgroups was not an easy task. Certainly not as easy as changing channels on a true radio.

Just talked to my friend who is going to be working security there..They are indeed using Sprint 2-Way PTT devices..Hopefully they wont work very well inside there and have to get real radios..

I went to the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino last night and I discovered that they have abandoned the Sprint Direct PTT system for Motorola TRBO radios.
