using Sentinel X36 and a Uniden SDS100 scanner, how do I set up "CLOSE CALL". I want to use Starcom21 for Peoria County Simulcast (Harris), the Primary Control Channel is 857.9625? I have tried to configure it myself but cannot get it to work. I am hoping someone would list the process step-by-step. I would prefer to use CLOSE CALL without scanning any favorites. If this question is in the wrong Forum I am hoping the Administrator will move it to the right one. Thank You for your time, Have a great day

Then just disable all of your quick keys and use close call or go into the menu and use close call from that. As I said in another post the Peoria County system is not part of starcom it's just a stand alone system like the Will County P25 system that is built by Harris. You need to program Starcom and Peoria as 2 seperate systems. Preferably with 2 different quick keys. They can be in the same favorites list though. If you want a little more help programming your SDS100 shoot me a PM and I'll send you my cell # today's a slow snowy day anyway.

Press the function button then the button above the 1 on the keypad. Press the button above the 1 once to enable close call and twice to enable close call DND. Or go.into the menu scroll.down to close call and select one of the options listed there.

Close Call is not going to work to trunktrack a trunked radio system. It will seldom work on trunked systems at all, as the control channel is a constant signal that is near the same signal level as any active voice channels. Close Call requires that a signal be at least 18 dB above the noise floor and any other in-band signal in order to generate a hit.

Think only thing I would ask for in a update is the clock to have a option of 12/24 hour display
