I am new to working with the Motorola CPS I have a XPR6550 that I want to clone the 32 freqs to a new XPR6350 the CPS tells me that there is a compatability issue - I can read the existing plug on both units but I cant move it from one to the other via the clone feature

Open CPS. Open your saved code plug. Read the unprogrammed radio. Both will open in the same session of CPS. Click the WINDOW menu up top then select TILE. This is the easiest way to view both code plugs. I also close the help pane.

Highlight the channels you want, right click and select COPY. Go to the unprogrammed radios window, put your mouse over the matching tree item, right click and select PASTE.

You can COPY and PASTE pretty much anything between XPR models (buttons, General Settings, Contacts, Talk Groups, Channels, etc

You cannot copy and paste scan lists or roam lists. Other than that, I find the Mototrbo software to be the best one Motorola makes as far as ease of copying between model numbers.

You can clone 2 identical radios, but since the 6550, & 6350 are different models, you have to copy, & paste, or drag, & drop like above poster said.
