5:22 am Colorado Springs: On Montego St (unk numbers) working S/F in a SFD w/flames from the front of the house, poss person still inside, E7 w/quick attack, E6 laying in. EP800 Cm4, online.
5:27 am Colo Springs u/d: 1419 Mcarthur St. E7 advising hole through floor inside front door, and also poss fire in the attic. Now reports of a FF injured outside the structure.: Neighbors say 5 people live in house, unk if home.
5:32 am C-Springs u/d: Now emergency traffic for a firefighter through the floor and trapped in the basement. Balance of 1st alarm units arriving + addt'l engine req.
5:36 am C-Springs u/d: T8 advising they have the trapped FF and are leaving the structure. Cmd ordering all FF's out of the building and assemble at the front.
5:45 am C-Springs u/d: All companies on the FG reporting in w/PAR. 1 FF e/r to Memorial Hosp, injuries do not sound serious. Fire now defensive only. E7, E6, T8, E10, HM14, HR17, Sq108, D1, D2 o/s, station moveups IP.

Fire Destroys Home

A Colorado Springs home at 1407 McArthur Avenue was destroyed by a fire Sunday morning.

Colorado Springs Fire Department responded just after 5:00 a.m. One firefighter fell through the floor while battling the blaze. He was rescued and is uninjured. Another firefighter was injured when he slipped and fell on the ice. He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

No one was home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
