• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hello! For the Colorado Springs (Dept of Telecom) System at
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=2877
it looks like a new frq. was just added, 866.55.
While visiting last month it seemed like the first two frqs. listed, 854.1125 and 854.2875, were just conventional channels. The other frqs. are licensed to other TRS's with numerous other frqs.
Has someone confirmed this (Dept of Telecom) System is in use? Thanks in advance!

Follow-up...
I've had this freq programmed in for awhile now, and I haven't seen any traffic on it. Either it's not in use, or it's not used by any TG's that I listen to.
