I know that Columbia PD is trunking in digital. If I get the new RS Pro 96's, will that allow me to continue to get the current 800 trunking as well as the digital transmissions? Also, who else in the Cola area is using digital? Thanks....

While we are on the subject, a couple questions.

Why is tg 40432 CPD Records still analog. I have assumed due to interoperability?

Is the old analog 40304 Forest Acres still being used? 64848 digital is the only one I have heard activity on lately.

One more, today and I think, maybe on another occasion I have heard Darlington SD, not sure the tg # on the Rich. Simulcast. Maybe they are just moving thru the area?

I've actually noticed the same thing except on the Harbison cell. I've always assumed its a programming error. I would be suprised if Darlington Co. pays to have their dispatch talkgroup affiliate in Columbia.

Just some more observations,

Fairfield SD heard quite a bit on Rich. Simulcast, But why don't I hear all their traffic? Or do I?

Aiken SD carried on Lex. Simulcast, in fact sometimes the majority of traffic is theirs. Yet Irmo, Pelion, Gaston, Swansea, Chapin, S. Congaree or Springdale are not... BUT the Towns Dispatch 17872 is ?

Really strange to me is I have NEVER heard Lexington PD 64704 ?

Also sometimes I catch a little of Saluda, not sure Lex. or Rich. Simulcast.

17872 is the dispatch for Pelion, Gaston, Swansea, Chapin, S. Congaree, Springdale, and Pine Ridge. This talkgroup is ALWAYS carried on the Lexington County simulcast system and sometimes Sandy Run and Harbison.

They are still dispatched on 460.2. They only use their Palm800 radios under special circumstances-usually when they have a SWAT call. I go weeks without hearing a peep on the talkgroup, but when it is active, you'll be lucky to have it in your scan list.

Lexington. They have been using their 800 radios a lot lately for talkaround.
