I may have just screwed my R6 com port or even the radio itself.
I recently wrote a new program to it using CS-R6.
It was working fine.
While listening to it last night, I plugged in some earphones, so it didn't disturb my wife.
Noticed it was only going on one channel but figured that was because it was mono.
Today I went to modify the program, but the software won't communicate with the radio.
Also, I can only access some of the program I installed.
I am thinking the earphones have damaged something.

I could try a factory reset, but then there would be nothing on it at all.

did you double check that the computer com port didn't change or needs to be re-connected via the software?

Plugging in headphones certainly should not cause damage to the port on the radio end. If you plug in a mono earphone the port would have a dead short on it so the radio is made to accommodate this. The fact that you can only access part of the program points to the problem being at the computer end.
